A serious question.

Alright, long preachy emo complainy post short, is anyone even reading these reviews anymore? Because if nobody is, I'm just gonna stop. A grand total of 1 view on the last one, 5 on the one before...

But, if you want me to keep going, I'll keep this site on life support. Just give me the word.

Your worried writer,

  1. For whatever it's worth, I do enjoy seeing the reviews you write here. There are too few places to get fanfic recommendations more detailed than "here's a list of things I like," so any site that provides some insight into what people are writing is welcome in my opinion.

If you're having trouble finding an audience, I have a few suggestions, if I may be so bold:

    1) Consider setting up some kind of posting schedule. If people know that you'll post a review every Friday (or whatever), they're more likely to come back once a week and see what's new. When posts are "whenever," it's easier to forget about the site. Doesn't matter what the schedule is, or how frequent/infrequent those updates are, as long as there is one.

    2) Have you tried hyping yourselves on Equestria Daily? I have a review blog, and last December somebody sent them a link to my site. From a two-sentence writeup in one of their nightly round-ups, I got about 9000 hits in 24 hours, and a lot of my "regulars" found the site through that one post. EqD's the pony fan hub, so you might want to see if they can help publicize what you're doing.

Anyway, just a couple of suggestions. If you aren't having fun doing this anymore, my advice is to quit. There's no sense doing reviews if you aren't enjoying them, after all. But if you do quit, know that I'll be sorry to see you go.
