Review – Darn it, Pavlov!

I originally had a very different story planned, but it turns out I was trying to read a novel over the course of a few hours, so you'll probably see that review next week. In the meantime, here's a new incomplete that caught my eye, Darn it, Pavlov!, after the break! I'm drooling just thinking about it.

The Story:

AJ, recovering after a bout of food poisoning, discovers that she can no longer stand to be near apples! They just make her sick to her stomach, so Twilight and Pinkie take it upon themselves to help her get over the classical conditioning. Unfortunately, The Apple Family Bi-Annual Get-Together Celebration is in three days, and an inability to be near apples just will not do. Will they be able to fix her in time? We'll just have to wait for updates to find out.

The Characters:

Everypony involved so far is pretty much themselves apart from Twilight Sparkle, who is slightly predisposed to oversimplification, and Rainbow Dash, whose brief appearance shoved her slightly out of character. Of course, it's hard to judge if they'll keep it going the rest of the way.

It's not written poorly, but it's no shining beacon in the dark. Nothing wrong with it, just the story itself needed a bit more substance really. Not enough meat behind the premise for a multi-shot.

It's alright. I've had something similar happen with me and mayonnaise, so I can relate there, and it does lead to a few amusing moments.

In Conclusion:

An okay story worth the time to read, though I am kind of puzzled as to how much more they can really put into it. If it grows in the coming chapters it could become something really interesting, so here's hoping for the best!

The Link:

And that's all for now. Sorry if I seem a little lackluster on this story, the one I was going for was much more fitting for the dark Fluttershy theme I started yesterday, but just the first chapter was seven times longer than this story, and there's another eight to go! Maybe I should plan a little beforehoof to make sure I actually can read a story in the time allowed...

Oh well, we'll see next time, won't we?

Your conditioned writer,
